Located in Sydney South West is an excellent opportunity for an experienced WHS Coordinator with facilities management experience.
THE ROLE:
Reporting to the National Safety Manager some of your key accountabilities will include:
- Ensuring all compliance & governance regulations and practices are followed onsite at all times
- Managing the rehabilitation, injury management and return to work programs
- Management of workers compensation claims
- Working in conjunction with the National Safety Manager to implement strategies
- Being the central contact point for maintenance issues
- Daily management of amenity and utility services providers (trades, sub contractors, air conditioning, cleaning etc)
- Coordinating safety & compliance activities – fire wardens, training drills etc
- Managing ongoing WHS compliance
THE CANDIDATE:
To secure this role the ideal candidate will have:
- First and foremost, you have a passion for safety and compliance – you genuinely enjoy working with employees and their rehabilitation plans and have the desire to work within an environment that believes in a preventative, safety focused culture
- Qualifications WHS - minimum qualifications are a Cert IV in WHS
- Experience within a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing/distribution environment
- A proven background in facilities and building management
- The ability to gather the right information – you know the appropriate questions to ask and how to interpret the data gathered
- The kind of personality that can engage will all walks of life – you love working with people and build strong relationships quickly
