A vacancy exists for a suitably qualified person to take over the role of Production Manager at Milltech Martin Bright's Laverton North (Vic) manufacturing facility.

The company produces bright and hard chrome plated steel bars for the Australian market as well as some export using heavy metal processing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Managing a work force of approximately 33 employees
• Leading responsibly in terms of safety, health and environment
• Training, supervising and appraisal of staff, including maintenance of relevant records
• Planning and scheduling of production and when necessary maintenance activities
• Oversee all factory activities with an eye to continuous improvement while ensuring targets are achieved in the most efficient and cost effective manner

Qualifications

• Relevant experience and technical qualifications
• Good computer Literacy
• Driver's license

Competencies

• Demonstrated experience in production or operations management
• The ability to work well under pressure, coupled with strong problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Numerical aptitude
• Moderate level skills in Word and excel

Remuneration will depend upon applicant's qualification and experience
