The Storeperson is responsible for general store activities, that may include:
- Receiving of materials to Inventory
- Transferring materials between Sub-Inventories
- Picking and Processing of Production and Engineering Work Orders
- Issuing of materials to Production
- Issuing of materials to Engineering
- Maintaining accuracy of inventory through Daily cycle counts and Location checks
- Maintain an organised and tidy stores areas
- Using the technology provided to ensure Finisar processes are adhered to at all times
- Operation of Forklift
- Other store activities, not mentioned above

Focus of Your New Role
The Storeperson is responsible for the activities involved in :
Inventory
- Batch and part numbering
- Correct location control
- Physical inventory accuracy
- Investigation and correction of discrepancies
Receiving
- Timely receiving of Materials in Oracle
Dispatch
- Timely issuing of goods to the business for production and engineering purposes
- Liaising with production staff for priority identification of work orders
- Restocking and replenishment of consumables goods to the transfer room
Oracle ERP inventory transactions
- Stock Transfers
- Miscellaneous Transactions
- Receiving stock
Scan Gun transactions
- Pick / Pack processing
- Sub Inventory Transfers
- Directed cycle counts
- Miscellaneous Transactions
- Label printing
- Receiving stock
- General inquiries
Documents
- Finisar Pick Slip Barcode reports
- Delivery Dockets
- Invoices
- Import and Export Documents
- Cycle count reports
- Material Issue Requests
