THE ROLE
Regwaste Australia, a division of JJ Richards & Sons Pty Ltd is seeking a Townsville based, professional HR licenced driver who is able to perform waste collection services in Townsville and surrounding regions. This role will involve some manual labour. All our drivers are expected to maintain high standards of truck cleanliness, contribute to a positive professional driving culture and proactively contribute to organisational safety goals.
THE CANDIDATE
- Must be an experienced heavy vehicle operator with minimum HR licence
- An impeccable driving record, providing your last 10 years’ traffic history
- Demonstrated experience in truck operations and vehicle sympathy
- Have a proven track record in safety and customer service
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to work autonomously in an efficient and productive manner
- The ability to do overnight or multiple night trips when necessary
- Attention to detail
- Be subject to a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing
The following skills are desirable, however not essential:
- Previous Waste Collection experience
- HC or MC License
- High risk forklift licence
