Our company has been in the industry for over two decades. As the company grows and demand increases, we are in need of a highly qualified member to join our team. This is an exceptional prospect for a motivated and focused individual to join this successful business in the role of a Supply and Distribution Manager.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, your responsibility is to lead. Oversee and coordinate purchase, storage and distribution system.
The Role
Your role as Supply and Distribution Manager will include but not be limited to:
- Determining, implementing and monitoring purchasing, storage and distribution strategies, policies and plans.
- Preparing and implementing plans to maintain required stock levels at minimum cost.
- Negotiating contracts with suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery requirements.
- Monitoring and reviewing storage and inventory systems to meet supply requirements and control stock levels.
- Operating recording systems to track all movements of supplies and finished goods, and ensuring re-ordering and re-stocking at optimal times.
- Liaising with other departments and customers concerning requirements for outward goods and associated forwarding transportation.
- Liaising with local and overseas contractors and suppliers concerning specific requirements.
- Overseeing the recording of purchase, storage and distribution transactions.
- Directing staff activities and monitoring their performance.
Qualifications
The Supply and Distribution Manager should ideally possess a qualification of at least Bachelor degree, or relevant work experience of 5 years to substitute for the formal qualifications which can be consisted of part study and part work experience.
Skills
Preference will be given to candidates with background in hardware manufacturing industry and familiar with supply and distribution process of the industry with the following attributes:
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to analyse, innovate, improve methods.
- Ability to supervise and train subordinates.
- Ability to plan and organize.
In addition, the nominee should have knowledge and experience in dealing with the Chinese market.
