Please note:

  • This role will work Mondays to Wednesdays, 7am to 3pm.  
  • Appointment will be for up to a 2 year term.  
  • Applicants will be required to undergo a physical and hearing assessment with an independent professional nominated by MBRC as part of the recruitment process for this role as well as a National Police History Check.

Your responsibilities will include

Providing a timely and efficient courier service between Council libraries, departments and external facilities in accordance with established delivery routes and schedules.  You will act as a relief driver for the Mobile Library when required and ensure a level of professional presentation and undertake driving duties with appropriate conduct.

To be successful in this role you must possess

A HR licence and the physical fitness and knowledge of correct lifting techniques to safely undertaken the manual requirements of this role.  You will have the demonstrated ability to effectively operate a large vehicle and excellent time management, interpersonal, numeracy and literacy skills to complete the administrative aspects of the role and provide a quality, timely courier service.

Work Location

Please note that whilst the current work location for this position is specified above, staff may be required to transfer to any of council's work locations with notice. Council currently has administration offices located at Caboolture, Strathpine and Redcliffe as well as depots, libraries and a range of other facilities located throughout the region.
