Australian Container Unloading Group is one of Australia's largest family owned and operated shipping container unloading companies. Our container crews specialise in the loading and unloading of 20ft and 40ft shipping containers at various warehousing sites both cold and dry stores. Operating since 2003, our QLD branch has seen rapid growth in the logistics and supply chain space. As a result, we are currently seeking experienced forklift operators and container unloaders who are capable of repetitive manual work. Work is located South and Northside of Brisbane with 6am - 7am starts to 3-4pm finish Monday to Friday.
Working in ACUG Container Crews your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Partake in physical repetitive work
- Stack cartons/ bags on pallets - loads up to 25kg
- Shrink wrapping pallets by hand
- Travel to different transport sites and unload shipping containers
- Operate counter balance forklift up to 10 tonne
- Remove palletised goods from shipping containers using forklift
- Manually unload product from shipping containers onto pallets (up to 25kg)
- Working productively to strict timeframes
- Adhere strict safety rules in warehouse environments
Successful candidates will possess the following:
- Current Drivers licence and own reliable transportation (essential)
- Current Forklift licence (highly desirable)
- Previous experience in shipping container unloading (highly desirable)
- Possess steel cap boots and hi vis clothing
- Manual handling skills and experience
- Proven track record for reliability and dependability
- Ability to work safely in a fast paced environment around machinery
- Can do attitude and sense of initiative
