We are seeking a Rotable and Repairable Coordinator to join our growing logistics team. It is a new role and is a chance for you to establish it and build the processes and procedures from the beginning up. The Rotable and Repairable Coordinator will lead the establishment and operation for the rotable and repairable spares capability within Asset Management.

You will be responsible for developing a comprehensive rotable and repairable spares framework that will incorporate the required policies, processes and procedures to assess, repair, verify quality and control a range of track and signalling items.

The role will report into the Inventory Manager but will work closely with the maintenance, engineering and reliability teams to ensure suitability and reliability of repairs/rebuilds of spares and develop decision points for repair/rebuild or write off considering cost efficiency and reliability as well as assisting to establish life cycle management of rotable spares and inbound quality controls considering ISO55000.

Other responsibilities include overseeing assessments, back loading, repair or write off, disposal of spares including repairer auditing and quality control and establishing process and procedure for the quality control of incoming goods for the Logistics group.

To be successful you will have a tertiary/trade qualification in business, logistics, inventory management, maintenance or supply chain management or sound relevant work experience in maintenance/spares, parts/inventory management as well as intermediate level skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.

You will have the ability to communicate with stakeholders at various levels, juggle multiple competing demands and manage expectations. The successful candidate will have strong problem solving skills, a good level of initiative, be willing to learn and work collaboratively as well as seeing things through to completion. The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience.  The selection process may include aptitude assessments, a behavioural event interview, national probity (police) check and medical examination in line with the National Standard for Health Assessment for Rail Safety Workers.
