The Retail team is currently recruiting an experienced Warehouse Team Manager to join their busy Regional Distribution Centre based in Truganina. Initially you will be required to work Monday to Friday from 6am until 2.30pm, however flexibility across all shifts including weekends is an essential requirement for the success of this role.

With up to 650 team members across 3 shifts 7 days a week, this busy 24/7 environment will require the ability to multitask and quickly and efficiently handle issues relating to operations, staff or customers as they arise.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee the warehousing operations on your shift and focus on maintaining a high level of safety, deliver outstanding customer service; and work towards continuous improvement initiatives.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Driving the commitment to the Linfox Safety Standards through ensuring Vision Zero is a daily focus within the operations.
  • Ensuring correct labour allocation to various tasks based on work volume.
  • Optimising and promoting exceptional customer service through effective communication and relationship development with all levels of staff.
  • Managing staff to ensure that service levels, KPI’s and financial targets are achieved.
  • Continually reviewing change management and process development opportunities.
  • Ensure that the Linfox Values are part of the operational culture and all decisions and actions are carried out within the values frame work.
  • Run daily toolbox and shift prestart discussions.

As the successful candidate you will have:

  • Previous supervisory experience in a in a similar role within a FMCG/Retail or similar fast paced warehouse environment
  • Solid commitment to safe work practices and proven experience making a positive impact on safety and compliance.
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Extensive knowledge of the functionality of a WMS and RF units.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional approach to work and ability to lead by example.
  • Desire to challenge existing processes and procedures to drive improvements.

You will be required to meet Linfox's employment criteria which will include but not be limited to a Criminal History Check and full medical with a drug and alcohol test.
