The opportunity:

After winning new contracts, we are recruiting for Site Supervisors for the following locations: Truganina, Derrimut, Sommerton AND a floating Supervisor to work across all sites including locations in Rowville, Lyndhurst and Deer Park.

Based on site at our client, your objective will be to provide support, service and, communication to the customer along with managing a team of sub-contractor drivers.  This is the perfect opportunity for the right candidate looking for the next step in their career. This is a hands-on role and would suit an individual who has experience in all aspects of transport planning, operations and, staff supervision. In addition on a daily basis you will be responsible for:  


Duties:

• Daily planning and scheduling of all deliveries;
• Supervision, Motivation and  mentoring of staff and drivers;
• Servicing of all client queries  and ensuring a sufficient number of drivers are scheduled at all times;
• Creating a balance between our customers and our businesses requirements;
• Developing a relationship with our customer and drivers.
• Manage to receive of all stock, with accountability for all product in the delivery chain;
• Ensure sufficient resources by way of labour, plant and material, are available and used efficiently; and
• Supervise the staff and drivers to ensure the site is efficient and safe running.

About you:

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Previous transport and logistics experience preferred but not necessary
• Working knowledge and ability to effectively utilise Microsoft Office (especially excel)
• Able to work autonomously
• Previous problem-solving ability
• Own transport and current drivers license is essential
