Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining the day to day customs clearance functions and processes in line with company performance standards and KPI’s
• Ensuring compliance with ABF, AQIS and other government agencies
• Prepare customs documentation and ensure that shipments meet all applicable laws to facilitate the import and export of goods
• Keep up to date with current customs and AQIS/DAWR industry changes and trends
• Liaising and supporting internal departments to ensure quality customer experiences are maintained

The successful candidate will possess:

• Current Customs broker licence with previous customs brokerage experience
• Maintained CPD requirements
• Current Quarantine/DAWR Brokers accreditation for packing and commodities
• EDI/Cargowise and/or ICS experience 
• Must have knowledge of customs tariffs; import, export and taxation regulations
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels  
• Strong customer focus skills
• Strong time management skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
