Chandler Macleod are currently seeking an experienced Scheduler with experience scheduling drivers on a National or State Level who have a mechanical aptitude. However, are happy to consider candidates who have experience in fleet maintenance and are looking to take a step into scheduling. We are looking for someone with a sound mechanical and commercial acumen with the ability to problem solve, multi-task and use initiative.

In this role, no two days will be the same, you will be a part of a small operations team in the Ballarat region liaising with internal and external key stake holders looking to improve and maintain operational efficiency's. Our client is a leading Bulk Water supplier throughout Australia, delivering Premium Spring Water Nation Wide! They have supplied bottled water to Australia for over 25 years!

As a part of this role your responsibilities will include:

• Creating national schedules on a weekly, monthly and daily basis to manage customer requirements and to roster drivers

• Liaise with internal and external customers and staff to ensure production schedules are correct and delivery requirements will be met on time

• Manage day to day driver issues - such as truck break downs

• Coordinate and collaborate timesheets for drivers and authorize for payroll

• Manage reporting for customers on delivery times

• Examine work documents and monitor work process to assess completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards.

• Manage scheduled and ad-hoc fleet maintenance including breakdowns and faults

The successful applicant in this role will have previous experience working with drivers or previously worked within a position as a driver looking to step up into a scheduling role. You will have experience Scheduling and planning and have great attention to detail. In addition to your previous history in driving or scheduling you will also have;

• Experience using a logistics or scheduling software (desirable)

• Ability to build strong relationships with a group of drivers and a good understanding of their needs (non-negotiable)

• Good knowledge of legislative and regulatory transport requirements including Chain of Responsibility (CoR)

• Great time management skills and good communication skills

• Be a team player

• Experience coordinating and influencing others to accomplish goals

• Heavy Vehicle driving experience, license about HR is desirable
