The Role:

We have an opportunity for a Multisite Supervisor to join our team in Clayton. You’ll work as part of a multi-site branch team to deliver exceptional service.


Key responsibilities include:

Delivery coordination

  • Ensure the correct delivery details are obtained and paperwork is loaded with the goods and drivers complete their paperwork satisfactorily
  • Assist drivers with loads
  • Organise scheduling of deliveries and co-ordinate drivers effectively through use of mobile phones to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Co-ordinate ad-hoc couriers as required and direct charges to the relevant branch
  • Assist managers with reconciling of courier invoices
  • Maintain files and records of deliveries
  • Analyse the delivery service with the manager and implement improvements
  • Advise counter staff/salesperson and contact the customer if deliveries are going to be more than fifteen minutes late


Inwards goods

  • Stock management including maintaining bin locations, stock schemes, replenishment and identifying and clearing E class stock
  • Assist ensuring the F7 transfer system is used to its full potential by consulting with the relevant Manager to decide when an order is to be F7 transferred
  • Co-ordinate stocktake for Pipe Centre and assist other branches onsite
  • Co-ordinate the unloading of inwards goods
  • Management of Return for Credit (RFC)/Credit Claims


Supervisory

  • Responsible for all delivery vehicles on multi-site. All delivery vehicles operate as a pool for the multi-site to ensure an efficient delivery service is maintained
  • Ensure that drivers are keeping their vehicles in good condition
  • Ensure that forklift drivers conduct weekly forklift maintenance checks and at a minimum, fortnightly vehicle checks
  • Arrange services and repairs for delivery vehicles including forklifts
  • Co-ordinate Motor Vehicle Incident/Accident Reports and Insurance claims
  • Maintain the Vehicle Maintenance Checklists for the site
  • Liaise with branch staff to handle any delivery complaints promptly (discuss with counter staff/salesperson for them to resolve the issue directly with the customer
  • Manage leave requests including personal leave and annual leave ensuring there are sufficient drivers at all times to maintain an efficient delivery service, before submitting the leave application to be processed
  • Participate in E-learning, skills assessments and performance reviews
  • Contribute to the recruitment and selection of new drivers

  • Strong people skills, and ability to build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally.
  • A confident communicator and professionally presented
  • A general understanding of the plumbing and/or bathroom industry and key competitors
  • A current and applicable forklift and drivers’ licence.
  • Sound decision making skills.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate multisite delivery runs.
  • An understanding of stock management and replenishment.
  • Sound computer skills
  • An ability to retain knowledge of policy and procedures
