Established in 2007, Bone Roasters is a market leader in the production of quality stocks and stock reductions for busy commercial kitchens around Australia and for select export markets. Bone Roasters is owned by Edlyn Foods, a 100% Australian owned company, who has grown to become a nationally recognised key supplier to the Foodservice Industry providing Beverage, Bakery, Dessert, Condiment and Culinary preparations to customers Australia wide.

Based on continued business growth, an excellent opportunity now exists for a new full-time Production Supervisor to oversee and manage the production manufacturing operations of this site, on Day shift basis.

As the Production Supervisor reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for the manufacture of products to high quality standards, using Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) whilst co-ordinating all daily aspects of the operation.

This will be a hands on role, with some of the required functions including (but not limited to):

• Overall coordination of daily Production activities to ensure efficient delivery of the Production Schedule.
• Maintaining & reviewing the Production Management systems.
• Monitoring all hygiene processes.
• Implementing food safety and quality plans that improve processes and products with the aim of ensuring that food safety risks are assessed and minimised.
• Continual development of processes and systems to make the quality process more efficient.
• Monitoring production expenses and performance, both from a plant and workforce perspective initiating corrective action where necessary.
• Continual monitoring of the production process to ensure compliance with agreed standards.
• Fire Warden.

Ideally coming with a proven track record gained already from within the Food manufacturing or Beverage industries, the successful candidate will ideally possess:

• 3+ years production supervisor/site supervisor experience within a Food manufacturing or related type environment
• 5+ years Food processing/manufacturing experience desirable with previous experience on a production line or processing environment mandatory
• A current Forklift Licence is preferred (but not mandatory)
• An understanding of food manufacturing principles.
• Experience in dealing with Quality Management Systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong / intermediate computer / ERP systems experience required
• Effective communication and people management skills.
• Strong understanding of Occupational Health & Safety principles.
• Personal grooming and presentation of oneself to be at a high standard.

Remuneration on offer will be market applicable within the Food manufacturing industry and the successful applicant must be available to work 38 hours per week plus overtime if required. Based in Nerang with no immediate access to public transport close and available, access to your own transport for the daily commute to the site, will be highly beneficial.
