About our company 

TJM specialises in the development and distribution of 4WD and automotive equipment throughout our Australian and global distribution network.

We are currently seeking a motivated Quality Inspector to join our Quality Assurance Department located in Brisbane's Northside. Reporting to the Quality Control Engineer, the successful candidate of this position will be responsible for ensuring that Quality procedures and work methods affecting Quality are implemented, supported and maintained throughout the production process in line with our company's Quality Management System.

Duties & responsibilities include

  • Performing first off, layout and process inspections utilising all necessary measuring equipment for Prototype and Production parts and reporting the findings to the Quality Control Engineer
  • Carrying out process capability studies and reporting the findings 
  • Ensuring that inspection records and process documentation are maintained accurately in line with ISO 9001 requirements
  • Being actively involved in ongoing improvements in all operational processes
  • Reviewing and reporting findings on warranty return product against customer complaint information for the product
  • Performing cycle counts with product on hand to maintain the inventory in line with ERP system stock level
  • Raising NCR's for non-conforming product and update the outcome in the quality record
  • Adherence to WHS standards, policies and procedures

Skills & experience 

  • Experience maintaining and working to quality system and standards
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in both verbal and written form, including the ability to prepare reports to cross functional team levels
  • Ability to read production drawings and evaluate systems and procedures
  • Exposure with any ERP system with basic level of stock handling would be highly regarded
  • Ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative information
  • Exposure with 4WD products and usage will be an advantage

  • Ability to work without supervision, plan and organise workload with team and colleagues as required 
  • Strong commitment to achieving results
  • A high degree of motivation and initiative with well developed interpersonal skills
