Our Cabin Crew are the face of our business in the air. As Cabin Crew Manager you will be based at the airport working alongside other Cabin Crew Managers to lead our Cabin Crew team within our domestic and international network. Reporting to the Manager Crew Performance South, your key responsibilities of this role will include:
•    Reviewing and driving performance of your team of Star Development Managers and Cabin Crew in line with Jetstar’s goals and strategy
•    Maximising performance by providing effective formal and informal feedback as well as managing all performance and conduct related matters;
•    Ensuring ongoing compliance with relevant legislation, Aviation Security, Health and Safety and Jetstar policies.
•    Supporting recruitment, training and induction of new and existing crew when required and ensuring succession planning is in place amongst teams.
•    Escalation and proactive management of significant customer and operational issues by participating in a rotational 24x7 on call roster;
•    Providing meaningful and timely recognition to high performing team members;
•    Working collaboratively with key stakeholders to contribute to overall Jetstar business objectives
•    Acting as a role model for our standards of conduct including presentation, behaviour and consistently engaging our company values.
 

Our ideal candidate for this role will have:
•    Experience engaging and leading a large frontline and remote team within a customer service/hospitality environment 
•    Demonstrated leadership skills with a proven ability in developing individuals and building effective, high performing teams
•    The ability to plan and prioritise a high volume of workload
•    High levels of resilience, flexibility, intuitiveness and a customer-service orientation
•    Strong business awareness and the ability to understand and communicate corporate initiatives and strategies across the team
•    Experience of working in a unionised environment with an understanding of employee relations 
•    A natural ability to deliver difficult messages with confidence, handle conflict when required and champion consistency, fairness and correct application of policies and processes here at Jetstar.
•    Personal presence with the proven ability to motivate, lead and influence others
