We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Driver to join our busy Brisbane team.
- Loads and unloads trucks with carts, ovens and standard units
- Performs driving duties (short distance)
- Preparation and packing of catering equipment
- Liaises with airlines staff and hand over delivery
- Communicates in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintains the company’s policy in relation to HALAL,HACCP, food safety and WHS in accordance with company policy
- Responsible for marshalling the Driver on the tarmac to position the truck in line with company / airport / airline policies
- Carries out basic serviceability and maintenance checks of vehicles and/or equipment, including refuelling of vehicles
- Performs administrative documentation and reporting duties as required
- Follows up on any discrepancies and ensures that flight is correct
- General cleaning duties
- Able to work in other areas of the unit for part or whole of shift basis to meet
operational demands
- A current MR or HR drivers license preferable
- Must hold a current Fork Lift license
- Must have a First Aid Certificate
- WHS qualifications preferred yet not essential
- Flexibility in regards to working around flight schedules is essential (7 day per week operation)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced , high-volume environment
- A satisfactory police record required
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform frequent manual handling tasks
