Wilmar Sugar owns and operates eight sugar mills in North Queensland. Our mills - located in the Herbert, Burdekin, Proserpine and Plane Creek regions - operate 24/7 during the crushing season, which typically runs from June to November. Outside of the crush, our teams are involved in an intensive maintenance, capital and innovation program to ensure our sugar mills continue to be safe and reliable and among the most efficient in the world.
The Role
In this role, you will manage multiple site stores teams to ensure compliance to policies, and efficiency in inventory activities across the Cane Products regions so that the use of funds invested in MRO and consumable Sugar Mill inventories is optimal. Your key responsibilities would include:
- Ensuring the data processing function of the stores team is timely, efficient and accurate in such a way that a high level of inventory accuracy is maintained.
- Managing the staffing, development and performance of the regional stores teams.
- Preparing projects and priorities for the stores to continuously improve service delivery to the region
- Communicating inventory related policies and procedures to all levels of the organisation including work team members, Managers and peers.
- Ensuring personnel adhere to set inventory management processes, procedures and work practices.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant business codes of conduct, statutory acts and regulations.
- Supporting the stores processes as a problem solver and key SAP user.
Qualifications/Experience:
Tertiary qualifications in Business Management / Supply / Procurement related discipline or equivalent practical experience is desirable.
- 5 + years recent warehousing or Inventory Management.
- A high level of computer competence in Microsoft Office suite of applications, particularly Microsoft Word.
- Minimum 3 years SAP Materials Management experience at a key user level.
