About the role
In collaboration with Sales, Operations and key partners this role will design, implement and manage pricing for the International business unit. The role oversees international pricing in accordance with customer segment and product strategies across the International contract portfolios to ensure long term viability and sustainability of the international business.
Day-to-day, you will:
- Implement pricing strategies to support bilateral pricing and commercial requirements which optimise the yield performance of International Postal
- Monitor and evaluate strategic advice on International competitor pricing and insights
- Manage International inbound and outbound Postal pricing and negotiations with the international postal authorities
- Manage and lead International Pricing team
Other aspects of the job include:
- Develop the International Postal Standardisation pricing strategy and new rate cards
- Development of revenue protection initiatives
- Establish International inbound rates and International outbound rates (Postal) working with the relevant segment or product owners
- Develop international pricing diagnostic models to understand price elasticity across International Postal market and negotiate with international postal authorities
- Develop thought leadership on new tools, analysis and techniques that explore new alternative ways to derive insights around performance and business drivers.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement to drive commercial benefits
- Lead a culture within the Function that fosters the One Australia Post approach, focuses on safety & wellbeing and puts the customer at the forefront of all activities and decisions
- Provide clear and effective leadership with direct staff and other internal stakeholders and drive collaborative effort through others to ensure that business outcomes are achieved.
What are we looking for?
Ideally, you’ll have a demonstrable experience successfully delivering a number of strategic pricing projects from conception to implementation and realisation of tangible benefits. You will have a proven track record utilising industry knowledge alongside financial, economic and market data to influence product strategies, product requirements and customer needs.
