Plascorp, one of Australia's leading privately owned national manufacturers and distributors of Industrial Ducting, Mine Ventilation, PVC Pipe and Steel re-enforcing solutions has a full-time position available for a night shift PVC Extrusion Operator at their Altona site.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Operating the Extruder Machine to produce a high-quality plastic piping
- Loading and handling of raw materials
- Die-setting
- Performing quality tests and ensuring that product meets required standards
- Completing required production reports
- Meeting production targets
- Completing machine changeovers and set ups
- Ensuring a safe and clean working environment
Skills and experience required:
- Previous experience manufacturing PVC pipe
- Understanding of lean manufacturing
- Knowledge of OH&S standards and processes
- Forklift licence
- Ability to work independently when required and solve issues as they arise
- A high level of mechanical aptitude
- Strong attention to detail and quality
The successful candidate will be required to work night shifts Monday to Friday from 11.00pm until 7.00am.
