My client is one of Australia’s most well-known steel manufacturers located in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. They have been in operation for close to 100 years and worked on top level projects all over the Australian boarder. They pride themselves on customer satisfaction and safety.
We are looking for someone with a minimum of 3 plus years’ experience in a purchasing role in the industry market, in addition relevant qualifications will play a big advantage. Ideally you have worked in a fast paced and dynamic environment and can think on your feet and stop issues before they arise. We are seeking someone a with a high level of computer skills including SAP knowledge and great communication skills. You are someone who is able to manage your time effectively and work autonomously.
This is a temporary ongoing role and could go perm for the right person.
You will be responsible for:
• managing the tracking and tracing of the importation of all material requirements
• ensuring all data in accurately updated and relevant to ensure the correct operation of the processing process
• liaise with other staff to ensure that all information relevant to purchasing activities is appropriately disseminated
