National Service Manager required for Global Food, Beverage and FMCG Machinery supplier, Package - up to $160k

Your new company
Hays are working exclusively with a leading company that sell and service Food and FMCG processing and Packaging equipment. This global leader provide machinery to the Australian and New Zealand markets as well as overseas. Due to a restructure, and ongoing excellent company performance there is a requirement for a National Service Manager to assist the company to continue their exceptional growth.

Your new job
As a National Service Manager you will lead the Service team across Australia, providing operational support, project management and strategic direction.

  • You will work to broaden the business service offering across leading manufacturing sites.
  • This role will see you bringing together the Service team nationally through clear communication and vision.
  • You will work closely with the Continuous Improvement Manager to drive the success of the processes and systems that have recently been implemented.
  • You will act as a client liaison, and be tasked with increasing sales through expert Account Management and your industry links.
  • You will have oversight of all installs, upgrades, trials and spare parts inventory and will be assisted in these duties by a Project Manager and Technical Spares Manager.

What you'll need to succeed
Your ability to engage and inspire a geographically diverse team of Service Technicians will ensure that productivity potential is achieved, and that careers are enhanced.

  • You will come from a technical background, and be able to understand the nature of the work being performed.
  • Ideally you will have extensive experience as a communicator and manager of internal stakeholders, pulling together sales, engineering, service and accounts to ensure that the goal of exceptional customer experience is forefront of mind for all.
  • If you have an understanding of Food Manufacturing, Food Ingredients processing or FMCG manufacturing processes, this will be key to your success in this role.


This is a role reporting to the CEO of the business, with clear support from the COO. This role provides the successful applicant the opportunity to be part of and lead an exciting change program within the business.

Dependent on your skill level and suitability, a salary package of $120,000 - $150,000 inc super is available. On top of this, you will receive a car allowance worth $18,000, phone, expenses and other benefits. There is an option for a bonus structure too based upon company and individual performance.
