We are looking for a skilled machine operator for one of the leading metal fabricators manufacturing quality products for the food /high profile furniture / bus fit out.
As a sheet metal machine operator your role is key in ensuring fabricated parts are made to strict deadlines and quality.
Location for work Laverton
Your duties will include
• Operate a guillotine, brake press, turret punch machine, bending machine
• Select proper die setting clearances based on material requirements
• Setting up tooling
• Read drawings
• Select correct materials from stock
• Operate power tools
• Conduct minor machinery maintence
Knowledge and skill requirements
• 2 + years’ experience operating turret punch / sheet metal environment
• Solid background with sheet metal, including operation of brake press
• Knowledge of tooling and tool maintence
• Fork lift licence
• Some welding knowledge will be an added advantage
• Punctual and reliable
