About the role
CPS is looking for a class-leading Quality Manager for a long-term career opportunity overseeing manufacturing operations in Western Australia. This hands-on role is responsible for the management of quality systems for both the WA idler and pulley manufacturing facilities including safety, environment, operational, financial, staff and key stakeholder management within those facilities.
ABOUT YOU
- Ideally you have demonstrated experience in a role at a similar level together with;
- Ensuring all aspects of quality assurance and controls are implemented and maintained in the production area.
- Proven experience operating under ISO9001 quality systems.

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and systems with the ability to identify hazards to ensure a safe working environment for our employees and visitors
KEY TASKS
- Leadership of the quality team.
- Meeting established KPI's.
- Conducting and overseeing quality audits of parts and processes.
- Highlighting and/or escalating any quality issues to management.
- Liaising with the production manager and shop floor personnel on all quality issues.
- Liaising with customers on all quality related issues.
- Raising and managing internal and external corrective action reports.
- Modifying and/or creating process documentation.
- Driving continuous improvement through all processes.
- Maintaining the production equipment calibration process.
- Liaising with sales, commercial, production and engineering teams
ATTRIBUTES
- Tertiary qualification in engineering desired
- Trade qualification in engineering/manufacturing
- Thorough understanding of part measurement and reporting methodology
- Proven experience in a similar role or operational experience and skill sets showing a natural progression to this type of role as a next step
- Proficient with Office365 suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, Powerpoint etc
- Experience with M1 ERP and MYOSH systems desirable
