About Laminex Australia

We’ve been a part of the iconic Australian design landscape for over 85 years. Only a few short years after Australian’s fell in love with Vegemite, families were spreading their toast in kitchens and on tables made by us. We’ve come a long way.

Today, you’ll see Laminex on surfaces everywhere you look - be it hospitals, shopping centres, restaurants or your home. We manufacture and procure a broad range of products for commercial and residential use such as laminate, engineered stone and veneers so that all Australians can live in beautiful, practical spaces.

You’ll be responsible for executing sourcing strategies and facilitating the commercial negotiation of strategic contracts.

Key focuses & responsibilities:
• Analytics, modelling, market research, and interpretation of relevant data to develop subsequent business recommendations
• Development and implementation of procurement frameworks, identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve service delivery
• Internal stakeholder management to support end-to-end value chain and successful category management
• Contract negotiation, management, and compliance monitoring

Skills and Experience

Along with experience in a similarly sized, complex organisation you’ll have the following skills and experience:
• A tertiary qualification in Business, Supply Chain or Procurement
• Experience working with a technical product range
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Solid commercial business acumen and negotiation skills
• An ability to thrive in a fast paced environment

This is an exciting opportunity for someone wanting to take a step up in their career, or for someone looking to make their mark by driving efficiencies in the current procurement strategy.
