Serco are currently seeking applications from experienced Warehousing persons to join our team as a Storeperson in the Medical and Dental contract located at the Joint Logistics Unit (East) in Moorebank, NSW.
Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, this role will see you undertake a variety of warehousing functions including the picking and packing of goods and materials for the Australian Defence Force medical and dental supplies.
Accountabilities will include:
- Prepare and receipt appropriate documentation
- Liaise with suppliers
- Basic operation of computer terminals
- Housekeeping and ensure the good working order of equipment
- Manual strapping and packing
- Receive goods, assemble orders and handle related paperwork
- Periodic stock checks
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in Warehouse or Logistics environment
- Ability to work in a team environment
- An innovative approach to problem solving coupled with a positive attitude
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service focus
- Forklift licence
The expected hours of the role are between 0700h and 1600h Monday to Friday.
It is a requirement for the successful candidate to be an Australian Citizen, eligible to obtain and maintain a Commonwealth Security Defence Clearance.
