About our Role
This is your opportunity to join a business that is moving forward, this positon will be key in conducting a complete deep dive review of Targets “last mile” delivery model utilising your strong commercial, analytical and transport optimisation background to provide a best in class delivery solution for Target Online ensuring optimal safety, service and cost outcomes, and in line with Target’s values.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct a review of current “As is” model for both Stores and Distribution Centre customer delivery services and cost
- Develop “to be” strategy in support of Online Customer Value proposition, including but not limited to all delivery and fulfilment objectives
- Support an economically sustainable Online business model
- Accountable for providing a safe workplace by identifying and reporting safety concerns.
- Leading by example through maintaining a safe working environment and demonstrating safe working behaviour
- Lead and delivers the Target vision, strategy and values everyday
- In partnership with Target Procurement, lead the RFP to deliver the outcome and oversee the implementation of the results
- Support an economically sustainable Online business model
Skills and Experience Required:
- Relevant tertiary qualification highly regarded e.g. Logistics/Commercial
- High level of communication and relationship building skills
- Strong business acumen and commercial skills
- Previous experience in logistics / transport (online) category management experience desirable
- Similar experience in the implementation of vendor delivery systems
- At least 10 years in a similar role preferred
