The CityCycle scheme was launched in October 2010 as a cost effective and healthy addition to the existing transport system within inner city Brisbane.
With a fully functional network of 150 stations and a fleet of over 1800 bicycles, the CityCycle scheme has gone from strength to strength and quickly established itself as an integral part of the Brisbane landscape and transportation network.
An opportunity is now available for a confident, dynamic individual with a keen sense of humour to join our team.
What you'll be doing:
- Allocation of bicycles across the JCDecaux CityCycle network to ensure availability of service to customers.
- Daily communication with Technical Administration and the Contact Centre regarding bicycle station fill rates and bicycles requiring maintenance.
- Perform traffic control at specified sites according to parking plans upon completion of appropriate traffic control accreditation.
- Transportation of bicycles to the JCDecaux CityCycle workshop for repairs.
- Navigation of 150 bicycle stations and how best to distribute bikes between full and empty sites using company software.
- The monitoring and reporting of damage, faults and vandalism to all JCDecaux assets.
- Compliance with JCDecaux's Work Health, Safety and Rehabilitation management system.
- Identification and reporting of safety issues or potential hazardous situations.
- Accurate recording of information relevant to the activities of each day on the appropriate forms provided by JCDecaux.
- The upkeep of any company vehicle used by, or assigned to, the employee.
JCDecaux's technical staff are ambassadors for the company and must uphold the company image. Each technician will report for work dressed in the uniform issued and will ensure the uniform is cleaned daily. All appropriate Personal Protective Equipment must be worn when necessary. Conduct in the field, and whilst driving, must be of the highest standard.
What we're looking for:
- Possess a full Australian manual driver licence.
- Be literate and numerate in order to complete the necessary paperwork.
- Be physically fit to perform the tasks involved with the position. This includes lifting/moving bicycles.
Evidence of the following is desirable:
- Queensland traffic management qualification (Traffic Control Ticket Level 1 Preferred).
- Driving (work experience).
- Be able to use smartphones / tablets and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in working with outdoor advertising.
- Able to work individually or unsupervised.
- Flexibility due to rotating shifts.
- Initiative.
- Reliability.
- Commitment.
