As part of Wesfarmers Industrial and Safety division, Blackwoods is Australia's leading supplier of industrial and safety products.
At Blackwoods, we believe in providing outstanding service to our customers and right now we’re seeking a versatile Store Person with a can-do, safety conscious attitude to join our Derrimut branch on a full time fixed term contract until July 2019.
You will be responsible for:
- Picking, packing and despatch of customer orders (freight management)
- Receiving, labelling and storing of incoming goods
- Conducting sorting, loading and unloading of vehicles
- Ensuring shelves are adequately stocked
- General Housekeeping duties
As the successful applicant you will possess previous warehouse experience and ideally have an understanding or working knowledge of the Industrial and Safety product market. You will have experience with pick/packing orders coupled with the ability to identify potential safety hazards and take the appropriate action in reporting these to your line manager. A current forklift licence will be advantageous, however it will be your strong work ethic and “can-do” attitude that will see you excel in this role.
Please note that due to our strict Health and Safety policy we will require you to undertake a physical medical evaluation, along with a drug and alcohol screening test.
