This is an exciting time to be part of Godden Food Group, a fast growing Foodservice distribution company based in state of the art facilities in Ormeau. Currently servicing the Northern Rivers, Gold Coast, Brisbane, & the Sunshine Coast, Godden Food Group supplies a wide range of customers including Clubs, Pubs, cafes, restaurants, schools & takeaways with over 5000+ Frozen, Chilled & Ambient Products.
The Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the position of Warehouse & Logistics Manager comes with a high degree of responsibility and accountability. The successful candidate will need to be able to utilise prior skills and expertise in Warehousing, Logistics, Food safety, Space management & process improvement whilst maintaining a strong focus on safety. This experience, coupled with a high degree of leadership, communication skills & professionalism will see you thrive in this position.
The successful Candidate will be required to:
- Implements & oversee quality control techniques and procedures to ensure best practise inventory management, customer service, HACCP & OH&S is maintained
- Ensure that all orders are picked, checked and loaded by staff with high levels of accuracy
- Plan & Implement effective route optimisation tools
- Co-ordinate the efficient and timely dispatch of the fleet taking into account special delivery requirements and time restraints
- Undertake staff evaluation, performance reviews, recruitment and training
- Assist management and support all Stock Control/Purchasing objectives
- Follow company procedures relating to any issues raised regarding Store persons
- Ensure all work is carried out under the OH&S and HACCP guidelines
- Laisse with key stakeholders such as Suppliers, Couriers, Customers and colleagues on logistics matters so as to improve efficiencies & customer service
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A minimum of 3 years in a similar position
- Solid experience in an FMCG warehouse environment
- Exceptional team leadership and communication skills
- The ability to respond positively and adapt to change
- Fluent computer literacy in business systems and Microsoft software
- Proven planning and scheduling skills
- Strong focus on continuous improvement and attention to detail
- Exceptional Analytical skills
- Current forklift license
- Capability to perform hands on warehousing duties
