The role
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced dispatch person to join our welcoming, close knit team as a Dispatch Manager.
Based at our Campbellfield Office, this full time permanent opportunity plays a vital role within our business as it ensures the expectations of our customers are met through the effective distribution and transportation of concrete deliveries.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the daily scheduling of work to meet both the needs of the customer and the business. A highly visible leadership role, you will work with a team of operational staff in an environment with constantly changing priorities as well as being responsible for driving continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Customer service and focused role
- Scheduling current and future orders
- Liasing with the sales and operations team and customers on a daily basis
- Maximising daily production and truck utilisation
- Ensure health, safety and environment standards are maintained
What you will need to succeed
- Proven experience in a transport or operational manufacturing or similar environment
- Commitment to health, safety and environment policies and procedures
- Exceptional leadership along with effective written and verbal communication skills
- Building materials or similar industry experience
