Coordinator Logistics

Based in our Brisbane office, the Coordinator Logistics actively manages variation in the week of operation to ensure the logistics plan is delivered.  his role is specifically focused to coordinating shipping in the Week 0 time horizon for multiple ports that we utilize.

Duties of the role include:

• Finalise the Week 0 plan with internal and external providers through facilitating the socialisation and negotiation of the preferred logistics schedule;

• Optimise short term shipping in liaison with railing activity and all stakeholders to manage variability and maximise the throughput of identified coal chain bottlenecks;

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to achieve week 0 shipping schedule including peers and port providers;

• Liaise with stakeholders to identify and put in plans to correct in advance possible product shortfalls, product quality variations, or capacity constraints; and

• Maintenance of SAP system to ensure transparency of rail and port week 0 plans to all stakeholders.

You will be someone who thrives on working in the week of operations and identifying and working within competing priorities.  You will be someone who is action-oriented and are well versed in stakeholder engagement and communication to underpin the success of your processes. Ideally you will be Brisbane based or willing to relocate. Experience or working knowledge of shipping schedule management essential and this experience relating to Hay Point, Dalrymple Bay, Abbot Point is preferred.

To be successful you will demonstrate the following:

• Experience with MES level/planning systems and or 1SAP;

• Knowledge of quantitative or qualitative improvement methodologies;

• Strong understanding of the shipping industry; and

• Experienced in shipping terminal operations.
