1. Transport Operations Supervisor

Overview:

Snapes Project Logistics is a well-established Australian owned company, currently located in Parkinson QLD and moving to a new facility in Yatala in September 2018. An opportunity for an experienced Operations Supervisor to join their growing team has become available.

Specialising in warehousing and transport of furniture and fittings for commercial fit-outs, the ideal candidate will have had previous experience in furniture removals and sensitive freight.

This is a full time role reporting to the State Manager, Queensland.

Duties will include the following:

·         Logistics management

·         Equipment is in good order and available and properly maintained

·         Ensuring that services meet an agreed standard & generates positive feedback

·         Ensure documentation and systems are up to date each week

·         Budget management

·         Tasks undertaken are correctly costed and is profitable for the business

·         Manage personnel hours in line with revenue generated and Budget hours

·         Compliance and Safety

·         Ensure compliance with legislative requirements

·         Promote awareness of safe working methods

·         Manage third party relations

·         Ensure standard procedures are followed

·         Ensure documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner

·         Operational

·         Assist in determining the overall operational plan each day

·         Identify & source equipment that is consistent with requirements, objectives & Budget

·         Utilise systems and reports for factual decision making

·         People management

·         Manage personnel coverage to meet requirements

·         Be able to cover any job as may be required from time to time

·         Ensure drivers are briefed and debriefed

·         Develop a positive and progressive culture

Experience and skills required:

·         Suitable experience in the logistics and transport industry,

·         High-level verbal communication, written, managerial and interpersonal skills

·         Well-developed management and leadership skills

·         Exceptional personal standards of honesty, integrity and professionalism

·         Proficient in all Microsoft Office software products and technically savvy.

·         Good customer service skills (courteous and polite)

·         Forklift Licence

·         HC or MC Licence desirable

·         5 day OH&S Course completion desirable

·         Fatigue management course completion desirable

·         Attention to detail

·         Values and supports teamwork and develops a safety culture
