The position

As part of Cleanaway’s Solids Business Unit and service delivery team the Operations Coordinator is a challenging but rewarding role where no day is the same. This is a fast paced environment with a tight knit team who are committed to delivering outcomes on time, every time. In the role you will be responsible for ensuring optimal planning and coordinating of all fleet and labour services daily. Responsibilities also include:

  • Planning and allocation of daily workloads for customer collections and services
  • Run sheet management, electronic and hard copy
  • First point of contact for sub-contractors and internal queries
  • Liaise with drivers to resolve transport issues as they arise
  • Use your initiative to find customer focused solutions

 

Skills and experience

To be successful for this position you will have proven experience in the Transport and Logistics space or similar environment where you have utilised your strong resource coordination skills. You will have a passion for exceeding customer expectations with a “can do” attitude, be results focused and be a team player. You will also require the following:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience managing GPS tracking systems
  • Ability to resolve problems effectively and effectively
  • Good computer skills
  • Proven ability to be agile in a fast-paced environment with conflicting deadlines
