Role
Our client, an iconic market leader, specialising in packaging and waste removal, is looking to appoint a self-motivated, proactive and dynamic Supervisor to support their Port of Brisbane location. You are currently in a Team Leader or Shift Supervisory role. You will possess the necessary ability to take initiative, provide excellent leadership, direction and support to deliver results. Ensuring at all times, the Safety of all employees and visitors, you will also be goal oriented , making certain that KPI’s and budgets are met whilst generating action plans and driving continuous improvements.
You will be:
• Well versed in a production environment and have a deep understanding of manufacturing and/or waste removal
• Business savvy, have the ability to forward plan, develop teams and plan/execute initiatives to further develop and grow a high-functioning, driven, dependable team across 3 shifts
• A forward thinker, having the ability to plan, organise, train and mentor production Team Leaders to ensure business objectoves are met and succession planning can happen
To Be Successful:
To be successful in this role, you will have had experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor within a waste processing and or process manufacturing environment. As a self-motivated, extremely adaptable and outstanding communicator and leader, you are very analytical and can multi-task and prioritise. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be comfortable working with various levels of personnel. You will also have the below factors:
• High level of mechanical aptitude - hands on
• Fantastic problem solving skills and you are service oriented
• Excellent time management and leadership capabilities (the ability to train others to train their respective teams)
• Knowledgeable in SAP Kronos, Microsoft Office
• Have a Forklift Liecense
• Excellent people skills, the bility to communicate up/down and all around. Not shy about public speaking
