ABOUT US
Trading since 1966 Sell & Parker Metal Recycling Services is an Australian owned and operated private company. Sell and Parker operate collection points for the NSW Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) 'Return and Earn' in Blacktown and Coffs Harbour and in September Newcastle.
The NSW container deposit scheme, Return and Earn, is the largest litter reduction scheme introduced in NSW and is helping meet the Premier's goal of reducing the volume of litter in the state by 40% by 2020.
The CDS rewards consumers for returning containers, cans and bottles to designated recycling points with a 10 cent refund per eligible container.
ABOUT THE POSITION
This hands on position will be responsible for leading the opening and the ongoing management of the Sell and Parker Newcastle Bulk Collection Point. Coordinate, supervise and participate in the activities for the processing facility to ensure optimum productivity and high quality customer service.
ABOUT YOU
You are a hands on manager, you have the ability to hit the ground running, lead the development and implementation of processes for a new operation, foresight to see when processes require adjusting and the flexibility to adjust those processes when needed to improve productivity.
- Proven experience in start up operations desirable but not essential.
- Proven experience in a customer facing leadership position running a safe and productive operation for a minimum of five years.
- Proven understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation.
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level organisation skills.
- Clear problem solver.
- Ability to attain and retain fitness for work (including clear Drug and Alcohol Screens).
- Currently have the right to work in Australia.
- Pass a Police Check.
