Key Responsibilities

  • Managing both internal and external stakeholder engagement, and reporting requirements, in order to enhance and leverage Advantech’s supply chain business intelligence.
  • Stocktake twice a year.
  • Negotiate with suppliers or customers to improve supply chain efficiency or sustainability
  • Manage the supply chain team of 3 including the warehouse assistant.
  • Improving the use of business intelligence tools to support demand and materials planning.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping
  • Deal with multiple local transport companies (CH Robinsons, MUVE logistics, DHL)
  • Liaise with freight forwarders and custom brokers and arrange the movement of cargo
  • Manage local and import supplier ordering
  • Maintain the stock control process with warehouse staff for inbound / outbound stock movements, quality control checking and stock rotation.

     

    To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • SAP Experience and Excel intermediate skills
  • Extensive experience in supply chain, asset management or similar
  • At least 3 years experience in a Purchasing Manager role or similar
  • Qualification in supply chain management is desirable
  • Proven history of accurate product forecasting skills
  • Positive team player who can communicate and work closely with sales and operational staff, to balance the conflicting demands of lead times for stock from International suppliers and urgent sales orders.
  • Strong leadership, strategic planning and business skills.
  • Understanding and awareness of relevant regulatory frameworks, including those pertaining to equal opportunity and workplace health and safety, and the Fair Work Act 2009.
