As CSL Behring’s Global Strategy continues to grow and mature, a rare opportunity is available for an Australian based Global Sourcing Lead for our Research and Development function. In this role you will be responsible for managing Sourcing Support for Research and Development (R&D), developing First Intent Supplier relationships and Strategies, in addition to managing other assigned categories of spend as required.

Additionally, this role collaborates and partners with other Global Sourcing Leads as the conduit of information and innovation into and out of R&D.

Your accountabilities in this role are to:

• Establish scope, be autonomous and build a roadmap for future state
• Develop Global Category Strategy, procurement plan and gather requirements, evaluate opportunities for improvement and identify internal strategies/trends; validate baseline spend
• Review, update and refine the strategy and plan in line with CSL’s strategic objectives and changes in market conditions
• Key interface to filter requirements from the user to the category lead and manage the supplier stakeholder relationship effectively
• Review Source Plans developed by Category Specialist and Sourcing Specialist to ensure they appropriately outline the internal assessment, industry assessment, category best practices, strategy development, Supplier selection process & results from negotiations, implementation plan, and agreed upon performance metrics
• Negotiate, Support and Develop Supplier Agreements, including Development Agreements, Commercial Supply Agreements, Confidentiality and IP Agreements

Position Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

• Proven experience in sourcing, procurement and supply chain
• Experience in New Product Introduction / Implementation and / or New Product Development in a pharmaceutical, FMCG or allied category and bringing products to market from a sourcing perspective
• Senior Stakeholder Engagement and Management, Internally and Externally facing through to C-Suite
• Ability to navigate a global, matrixed environment in a proactive, collaborative manner
• A self-directing, strategic style and flexibility in being able to establish road maps and key activities
