About the Company
GBS Recruitment sources casual General Hands during peak periods throughout the year for Patties Foods, a well-known food manufacturer based in Bairnsdale.
Patties Foods are experiencing an increase in production which has created multiple temporary opportunities for you to join one of Australia's most recognised companies!
About the Role
With a number of production lines in the business this role can be quite diverse; however completing repetitive tasks in each section is very common. Successful candidates could be working in the packing or production areas, as well as requirements across all areas of the production process. The work is very team orientated and working amongst a team of 10+ people in order to reach a common goal is not uncommon.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful applicants for the General Hands will possess:
- Experience in food preparation preferred
- Production Line experience preferred
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good numeracy & problem-solving skills
- Mechanical aptitude an advantage
- Quality Control awareness
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- You must be flexible and available to work Afternoon Shift (4pm till Midnight) or Morning Shift (Midnight till 8am)
- Due to the repetitive nature and manual handling tasks involved, the successful applicant must be physically fit and work ready
Recruitment Process from interview with GBS to appointment:
- Registration and/or interview with GBS Recruitment; completed paperwork, including a Police Check application form, 100 points of ID & reference checks to be conducted
- Interview with Patties
- Pre-employment medical screening including urine drug & alcohol test
- Induction with Patties & shifts allocated
