About the company:
One of Australia's leading suppliers of quality Oil and Lubricant products distributed nationally throughout all market sectors. This role will be based in Dandenong, Victoria.
 

The opportunity:
The business requires a Logistic Coordinator & Warehouse Interface Operator with warehouse and customer service experience. This role calls for the individual to be a self-motivated all-rounder.

About the role:

This is a position combining both a logistics coordination role, warehouse interface and a customer service function. Peak is an Australia wide SME specializing in Automotive, Transport, Industrial and Agricultural oils and lubricants together with other speciality products.

On the logistic side you will organize and monitor the storage and distribution of the company’s products with the goal to manage the entire order cycle so as to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction.

Reporting to the Group General Manager – Operations, you will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders across Sales, Service and Production, to ensure smooth and efficient and most importantly, the delivery of customer service and satisfaction.

You will be responsible for:

• Organizing the distribution of the company’s products.
• Initiating the required action for response to customer service requests.
• Accessing the company’s internal systems to obtain the extract order information and provide customer service management.
• Providing expertise to senior management for developing positive changes to existing methods and systems to increase the accuracy, efficiency and responsiveness of the customer service department as a whole.
• Strategically planning and managing logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer service delivery.
• Communicating with both suppliers and customers to ensure satisfactory and timely outcomes.
• Keep track of inventory in regard to quality, stock levels and delivery times.
• Scrutinizing transport costs and efficiency.
• Resolve any arising problems or complaints.
• Meet cost, productivity, and accuracy and timeless targets.

To be successful in this role you will have or will be:

• Sound Interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Expert in the delivery of customer service and have the ability to manage difficult or emotional situations and to respond promptly to customer needs.
• Sound problem solving skills working often in group problem solving situations.
• Demonstrated team work experiences in similar organizations.
• Quality management mentality.
• Thorough understanding of the logistical process including a complete understanding of the road networks throughout Greater Melbourne.
• Cost conscious with significant business acumen.
• Strategic thinking and judgement.
• Adaptability with the ability to meet competing demands. Be the interface between planning, production, and sales processing, pick and packing and final delivery.
• The ability to understand basic technical terms and data as it relates to product information in the company’s field of operation.
• Experience in the manufacture and distribution of oil and lubricants products would be of great advantage.
