About the role
Border Express, a progressive and dynamic leader within the Transport Industry, currently has a fantastic opportunity available for an experienced and motivated Inbound Supervisor to join our team in Canberra.
As the Inbound Supervisor you will be responsible for co-ordinating branch activities and supervising staff to ensure optimum utilisation of branch resources.
About you
We are looking for a process focused individual with high level supervisory skills, who can build team-work, ensure WHS policies and procedures are adhered to, promote a culture of respect based on the Border Express Core Values, and continue to provide outstanding service to our customers.
Skills and requirements
Our ideal candidate will posses the following skills and experience:
- Current HR license is required
- Forklift licence is ideal
- Previous supervisory experience essential
- Experience in the Transport Industry
- Sound knowledge of Dangerous Goods (DG) requirements, Load Restraint requirements, WHS & relevant transportation Acts and Regulations
- Ability to follow company policy and ensure all staff adhere to relevant policies and procedures
- Excellent written, verbal and computer skills
- Strong knowledge of the Canberra area
- A strong customer service focus
