The Opportunity
As a Class 1 Locomotive driver, you will prepare, manage and operate locomotives and trains safely and in accordance with operational procedures, ensuring we meet and exceed customer service expectations. Based in Bowen, these positions will operate 2-driver services on several routes, involving barracks work (tucker-box jobs), throughout the Goonyella and Newlands Systems. You will also be required to operate single driver operations for unloads to Abbot Point.
About you
The role requires demonstrated experience in safely operating train haulage services and locomotive driving in accordance with Pacific National's values. You are reliable, enthusiastic and dedicated, and enjoy being part of a team.
Additional requirements:
- Currently accredited and fully qualified locomotive driver, preferably with a Certificate IV in Train Driving.
- Experience in the use of ECP, WDP and DTC will be highly regarded
- Current Qld Safeworking Qualifications will be highly regarded
- A positive attitude and commitment to safe operations, whilst meeting customer requirements.
