Top Cut Foods is Australia's leading national provider of high quality meat products to the food service industry.
Due to recent growth, we have several vacancies for general labourers/ knife hands.
The ideal candidate will either have a Butchery background or Strong Red meat knowledge.
The most important criteria for selection for this position will be a person who:
- has well developed can do attitude with attention to detail
- has the ability to use initiative and work with a minimum of supervision, or effectively within a team environment, as required
- is punctual, reliable, flexible
- is physically fit and able to lift 15kg continuously, with an emphasis on high speed/ high volume work
- Able to start work at 5am, and have own transport.
It is preferable that the candidate demonstrates a level of competency in the following:
- Ability to work in a cold environment
- Ability to maintain consistent attendance
- Ability to complete tasks as an individual or in a team environment
- Prepared to undergo in-house training to increase product knowledge and further develop skills if required
- Work in conjunction with Butchers and Warehouse colleagues to manage raw material & finished goods stock
- Has previous knife hand experience
- Truck license and forklift license - not essential but an advantage.
