The Role

Reporting to the Supply Chain and Customer Care Manager - ANZ, this role is accountable for ensuring our customers receive outstanding service to allow Halyard to stand out and exceed market demands. You will optimise business objectives and working capital through effective inventory management.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manages the operational relationship with the 3RD party warehouse 
  • Manages Quality and Financial audits and relationships 
  • As part of the Australia and global work streams that manage the Healthcare Import/export in Australia. Lead set-up of the import/export function, indirect spend and procurement for Australia 
  • Manage the forwarding and custom clearance for NZ exports 
  • Drive continuous improvement projects
  • Participate in the global ocean freight tender (annual process starts in November and is finalized in March)
  • Management of the ocean transport Export budget for Australia and maintain a rate file of agreed Ocean Freight Rates with Carriers and Forwarders. Resolution of capacity and service issues with transportation lines.
  • Pricing enquiries
  • Handling PO’s, checking and booking of transport related invoices
  • Highlight financial exposures and risks related to transport, duties
  • Air freight price enquiries exports depending on volume shipped
  • Owns the DIFOTL reporting and root cause analysis
  • Owns resolution of inventory discrepancies
  • Owns inbound container scheduling

 

Qualifications & Experiences

  • Minimum 5 years of Job related experience
  • Diploma in Logistics
  • Demonstrated track record in continuous improvement
  • Project Management

Competencies/Skills

  •  Fluency in English
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Excellent commercial and business acumen
  • Capability to translate changes in business strategy to a continuous improvement strategy
  • Capacity to combine strategic thinking with hands on execution. Entrepreneurial
  • Outstanding communication skills. Team-player
  • Capability to deliver results in a matrix
