Canberra Country Freight is a locally based Transport company offering Transport solutions to our ever increasing clients. We require the services of an Experienced Yard Supervisor to control the flow of work to be distributed to our clients.
Your Responsibilities will include:
1. Working closely with all drivers and scheduling the daily requirements of our customers. Be a natural team leader.
2. Forklift operations. Loading and unloading vehicles including checking loads as per the paperwork to ensure the correct freight has arrived and dispatched.
3. Ensure workplace health and safety and chain of responsibility compliance is carried out. Make sure the depot is kept clean and tidy.
4. Work with the Managing Director to ensure the daily workflow is completed including scheduling workers for the following day demands. Also work with the office staff regarding any freight discrepancies.
Your Experience:
1. High level of organizational skills.
2. Must be able to demonstrate the experienced required to complete the role and can show previous experience in a Supervisory role.
3. Current high risk Forklift license required. Semi Trailer license also endorsed for road ranger gearbox.
Please note a current RMS driver history report is required and you may have to undertake a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening.
Salary position plus overtime available for the right candidate.
