About the role
We're looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join our team. In this role you will:
- Work with maintenance and production teams on steel roll forming equipment, undertake general trade work; operate lathes, workshop equipment, welding and steel fabrication
- Work in an evolving preventative maintenance environment and contribute to problem solving to improve plant reliability
- Utilise the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS – MEX) and maintenance programs
- Work closely with operations regarding breakdowns, preventative maintenance program, and continuous improvements projects and establish operator maintenance tasks
- Liaise with building and facility services that are critical to the smooth operation of the plant
- Supervise contractors as required

- Metal Trade Certificate
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Well developed reasoning and decision making skills
- Consultative hands on approach within a technical culturally diverse work environment
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to think quickly to solve problems within tight time lines
- Proactive behavior to bring new ideas forward for discussion within the group
The desirable skills
- Some previous experience with use of Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Some understanding of roll forming
- Basic PC skills – Word/Excel/Outlook
- Previous experience in a similar operational environment
- B Class Electrical or Connect / disconnect license
- Working knowledge of the steel fabrication/building industry
