Our client is seeking an experienced Inventory & Purchasing Coordinator with prior experience working in a MANUFACTURING environment.

Primarily you will be managing the purchasing of stock, coordinating logistics, evaluating inventory levels, maintaining inventory records and planning for future requirements based on orders, production schedules, forecasts, projected usage and estimated date of delivery in preparation for reporting.

You will be responsible for follow up on all orders of inventory systems products, receiving the goods and finalizing the receiving, tracking and follow up of outstanding issues with suppliers and after managerial consultation, managing the write-off of obsolete stocks.

As well as;

• Handling the acquisition of supplies, materials from suppliers,
• Verify receipt of stock ordered, reconcile discrepancies, record all receipt and pricing information on inventory record system,
• Reconcile inventory records with warehouse reports of stock available,
• Complete reports of purchasing activities and costs,
• Ensure that materials, equipment, and supplies are ordered and delivered in a timely manner,
• Arrange inwards delivery schedules,
• Monitor, review policy and procedures in relation to all purchasing matters,
• Review invoices for accuracy,
• Post transactions to MYOB or other records,
• Attend monthly production meetings providing reports on inventory / purchasing

You must;

• Extremely organised and methodical,
• Enjoy clerical and administrative activities,
• Be a motivated team member and willing to assist others,
• Be able to manage existing systems to enable effective and efficient time management in relation to inventory,
• Be able to communicate effectively with Manufacturing Manager, suppliers and management,
• Be able to determine materials, equipment, and supplies usability,
• Be able to compare prices and make vendor selections or suggestions.

Working closely with the Production Manager the Factory hours are Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm and Friday 7am to 3.30pm. Flexibility may be required.
