CAPS Australia has a great opportunity for a customer focused and highly motivated Service Manager to join our Smithfield based team! CAPS is a proud Australian company and Australia's largest independent compressed air and power generation provider operating across a range of industries. You will have a strong commercial & business focus with exceptional customer service skills and a focus on developing business growth in a strategic manner ultimately increasing profitability and enhancing the customer experience.

Your new role at CAPS
As the Sydney Service Manager you will lead the Service team, providing operational support, project management and strategic direction.

  • You will work to broaden the business service offering across leading construction, industrial, commercial and manufacturing sites.
  • This role will see you bringing together the Service team through clear communication and vision.
  • You will act as a client liaison for major customers, and be tasked with increasing sales through expert Account Management and your industry links and experience.
  • You will embrace and drive CAPS strategies towards Safety, Customer Service and Operational Excellence.
  • You will have oversight of all major repairs and overhauls and upgrades.
  • You will need to understand and drive common service metrics to achieve the company’s KPI’s

What you will need to succeed
Your ability to engage and inspire a diverse team of Service Technicians will ensure that productivity potential is achieved, and that careers are enhanced.

  • You will come from a technical background, and be able to understand the nature of the work being performed.
  • Ideally you will have extensive experience as a communicator and manager of internal stakeholders, working together with sales, engineering, service and accounts to ensure that the goal of exceptional customer experience is forefront of mind for all.
  • If you have an understanding of compressed air products or power Generation experience this will be key to your success in this role.
