A leading Government agency has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join their talented team. Recognised as a trusted team member of the business you will assist with the departments procurement transaction requests included but not limited to quotations, managing tenders, as well as partnering with stakeholders to plan, develop, source and manage procurement arrangements to effectively meet organisational and business units needs.
  
Key Accountabilities:
  • Undertake and manage procurement projects (including goods and services related) and transactions, including managing of tenders, evaluation and contract award
  • Provide best practice procurement advice to stakeholders and maintenance of an internal procurement framework that is in line with NSW to minimise risk and achieve best value for money for the department in its procurement activities
  • Contribute to the planning, development and management of the category management plans
  • Contributes to the development of and improvement to procurement policies, processes and operational documents.
  • Coordinate and manage the development, implementation and delivery of procurement contract strategies in line with the NSW Government’s and departments procurement objectives
  • Coordinate, manage and monitor reporting, including contractor performance, in line with the NSW Government Procurement Policy Framework and Reporting requirements
  • Develop and report on procurement key performance indicators and to ensure compliance to NSW Government and the departments Procurement frameworks
  • Mentor and develop staff undertaking procurement activities across the department to enable them to build the specialist expertise, knowledge and skills required to undertake procurement's in line with departments procurement framework
Essential Requirements
  • In-depth knowledge and recent experience in procurement in NSW Government setting and understanding of the NSW Government Agency Accreditation Scheme is highly desirable
  • Previous experience in construction is ideal
  • Experience using TRIM is desirable but not essential
  • Pro-active and can manage ambiguity
  • Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate immediate competency
