Linfox’s Government & Defence Business Unit has an opportunity for a Site Manager based at Defence site Puckapunyal. The successful applicant will have a strong focus on service delivery to lead the Puckapunyal site Defence Warehousing and Distribution contract. This position reports directly into the Regional Manager Victoria.

To be successful in this role you will have proven experience in managing both team and individual KPI targets and a levelled understanding of inventory reporting including cycle counts, releasing and tracking of orders and an excellent problem solving skills.

You must be a strong leader and continuously motivate your team to maintain a high standard of service for our customer, be able to perform under pressure and confident enough to address the group and troubleshoot on a daily basis.

This role will have a strong focus on the complete management of the site and will have one Supervisor as direct report along with a team of Storeworkers. The successful applicant will play a key role in any corrective actions and strategies that may continue to improve the productivity and profitability.

Successful applicants will possess:

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams across a variety of warehouse operations, ensuring priority is given to safe work procedures and encouraging attention to detail
• Ability to lead supervisors within the site with an emphasis on development of their teams
• Previous Defence warehousing & logistics experience (highly desirable)
• Ability to effectively manage the roles of supervisory staff to ensure tasks are not duplicated or omitted
• Experience in conducting operational reviews and financial reporting
• Strong problem solving, negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail

• Ensure a safe worksite and achievement of agreed Safety goals, in line with annual Site Safety Plan, or real time changes in safety performance
• Have the ability to take the lead with innovative approaches to continuous improvement, relating to safety, people engagement and operations
• Have a Current Driver’s License

Applicants will require eligibility to obtain a minimum level of Negative Vetting 1 security clearance as determined by the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA), which may include ability to obtain Australian citizenship.  Maintenance of this level of clearance at all times during employment in this position is an inherent requirement of the role.
